Learning the Tools

 At the beginning of October, I started to use and get familiar with StudioWorks, an online publishing program. I first found the Navigation Bar which provides access to the main sections of StudioWorks. Through my first StudioWorks assignment, I became familiar with the basic tools like text boxes, picture boxes, the measurement tool, colored backgrounds, font, text size, picture catalog, and strokes as well as learning to identify elements of the spread like the gutter and bleed marker. In my second assignment I learned to identify the trim and to text-wrap, flip and invert images, adjust transparency, softness, and rounding radius, and add a drop shadow with a gradient.
